Slimming Sunday – Is Back!!

Okay, technically it is the first time I have posted this on this blog, but once a month I used to blog about my slimming progress.  I know it’s cliche but I thought I would wait for the new year before I began it on here.

During 2016 I dropped nearly 3 dress sizes. I was really proud of myself. Unfortunately, once I came back from holiday I wasn’t very well and once the cold weather kicked in I was worse. So, I have not done anything exercise wise for about 5 months. I really need to get motivated. Part of getting motivated is sharing my goals, failures and achievements on here.

I do have a few problems though. About 16 years ago I was diagnosed as having Rheumatoid Arthritis. This means I get very tired quickly, I am in pain fairly often – the change in the weather does not help. When I received the diagnosis the doctor told me not exercise. By that I know he meant high impact exercises. For a long time I just stuck to low impact exercises, however they did not work for me. I have also since done some research through the Arthritis help websites etc…   and I can do some high impact.

My other problem is that I am very anaemic – which also makes me very tired.

This is why motivation is an issue.

Recently I have also been suffering with stomach problems and I also have an issue with Migraines. Apart from that I am in perfect health (cough) !!

GOAL FOR 2017 – To drop 2 dress sizes. 

 I know I am over weight and I know that to ease the pain I’m in with my Arthritis I need to reduce the pressure on my joints.

How am I going to do this? 

To be honest I have absolutely no idea.

I know I need to:

  • Increase my activity
  • Drink more water
  • Cut out unhealthy snacks (not that I have many)

Besides this I also need to:

  • Increase my iron intake through my diet & vitamin d (without using tablets)
  • Drink more green tea
  • Pack Healthy lunches for work
  • Self-control

I will not be following any kind of diet, I will just be healthy eating and increasing my activity.

SO, watch this space…

These posts will be every Sunday during January and after that once a month on the last Sunday of that month. I know it can get boring.
