This is going to be a very quick and very short update due to the fact that since my last Health and Well Being Post, I have been ill. I have had a chest infection which has been really painful. Initially I thought I had pulled a muscle in my chest but as the pain did not go away. Due to amount of pain I was in I decided it might be a good idea to go to the doctors, who confirmed it was indeed a chest infection but as my chest was clear there was no need for antibiotics. I did get some pain killers that made me feel very ill, so didn’t take them for long.
Due to the pain in my chest I have not been sleeping very well. Now lack of sleep is one of my triggers for migraines and I suspect this is why I have been completely floored by a migraine over the past few days. On Thursday I woke with a throbbing head which quickly turned into a migraine. I did attempt to go into work as usually I take the tablets and it disappears. About 90 minutes after arriving at work I was back home, in bed. I did not move for 6 hours. It hurt to much. Thursday night the pain lessened and on Friday it came back with a vengeance. Saturday was better sort of and today (Sunday) has been okay.
So as you can imagine exercising has not happened very much at all. Healthy eating and water drinking have but that is it.
I am hoping that tomorrow all my aches and pain will be better if not gone and so next time I do one of these Health and Well Being posts it will be more positive. Look out for Post 6 in two weeks time xx
First I have to apologise for this post as I have not had chance to plan it. I am constantly surprised about how quickly the weeks seem to fly by.
Since my last Health and Well Being Sunday post I have flown to Italy and back again. I spent 7 nights in the Eternal City (Rome) and also spent a day in Naples and Pompeii. It was wonderful but very hot and also very busy. Due to it being so hot I did drink a lot of water. Meal times were full of carbs – pasta, pizza and bread.
I also went to The Hard Rock Cafe in Rome and had a burger which was wonderful. As you probably gathered there was not a lot of dieting going on. So, the diet and fitness plan start tomorrow… (honestly)…
So below is a quick list of things I want to achieve over the next two weeks…
Running twice a week
Drink Water daily (5 glasses)
Healthy Lunch to take to work
No extra sauces on food
Keep a log of anything that passes my lips
No Coke a Cola (I am addicted)
Strength and Core Workout x 3 Weekly
Have at least 1 hour me time a day (this is important as it is people who drive me crazy)
Take photos of Health and Well Being Journal/Fitness Inspiration Book for Post 5
Think of a way to make these posts a bit more interesting….
I will hopefully have a better post in a couple of weeks, I am sorry this is so rushed. Back to normal blogging activity this week.
At the end of every month I used to complete a post call Slimming Sunday, which mainly chronicled my lack of weight loss progress. The last few months though I began to encompass other things, like how I was feeling, other issues etc… So Slimming Sunday has now evolved into Health & Wellbeing Sunday. I will now post this twice a month instead of once and I am hoping it will motivate me a bit more into making better progress not just with weight loss but with life in general.
In all honesty not a lot. I have not had a lot of sleep due to the warm weather. Though my iron levels are slightly up.. which is good. Unfortunately today I am in pain with my mouth once again. The filling/crown that I had fixed a few weeks ago is coming loose and the left side of my face really hurts right now.
I am currently watching the One Love Manchester Concert so I have been quite distracted while writing this post this is also the reason why it is late. Probably the reason why the post is not making a lot sense as well.
The reason I don’t end up doing a lot of things I intend is due to lack of time. Is it lack of time or lack of time management? I am such a procrastinator when it comes to doing stuff for me. I also get addicted to silly games like Cookie Jam. I cannot remember exactly what level I’m on but it is somewhere in the 1900’s just to prove how much I play that one game.
So the goals for the next two weeks… till the next post
Is to create a list of all the things I want I to complete this year and set out a schedule.
Not play on the games so much – limit it to maybe 30 minutes a day or less
Go Running… I have been a few times need to try for twice a week.
Revisit my Health and Fitness Journal.
Quite an easy list to start with…. to be honest finding it hard to concentrate what with the concert and the pain in my face. I really need to get to the dentist tomorrow.
